Tremezzo

The well-known and idyllic village of Tremezzo is situated between the popular village of Cadenabbia (the place where the famous german post-war chancellor Konrad Adenauer always went on vacation) and the picturesque village of Lenno. It is an optimal starting-point for trips all around Lago di Como and the surrounding area. There are good shipping-line connections during the whole year. The sights and the especially attractive villages are all close together. The gastronomy is very good. There is a good choice of restaurants either right next to the waterfront or also a little bit higher with local and international cuisine.
There is a leisurely and pleasant walk from Colonno to Cadenabbia di Griante to discover villas and gardens, Roman findings, wonderful examples of architecture, ancient villages and charming natural views. It is possible to move amongst municipalities by using Lake Como's navigation public transport and bus lines.

Lenno

The quaint village of Lenno neighbours the well-known towns Tremezzo und Cadenabbia (Konrad Adenauer’s regular holiday destination). The area is the ideal starting point for trips around Lake Como and the surrounding region. The famous Villa del Balbianello on the peninsular, reached by ferry from Sala Comacina, is really worth a visit. There are good ferry connections all year round. Particularly worth a visit is the church of Santo Stefano in the village and above the village the old Cistercian monastery "Abbazia dell'Aquafredda". The historic sights and particularly attractive towns are not far away. The local cuisine is particularly good. In restaurants direct on the lake and further a field is an excellent selection of international and traditional cookery. Supermarkets and grocery stores can be found in Lenno.

Lenno has a boat stop for boat trips around the lake. Como is about 20 km away, Menaggio about 10 km away, Milan is about 75 km away, Lugano 35 km away.

Golfers can find 6 golf-courses in the neighbourhood, for example roughly 15 min away is the well-known golf-club "Menaggio e Cadenabbia" as well as some courses near Como.

Two tennis-courts can be found in Tremezzo and other ones in the neighbourhood.

Your holiday-apartment is a good starting-point for hiking-trips with fascinating panoramic views of Lago di Como and the nearby valleys.

water sports

Not far from you vacation-apartment opposite the church is a nice park (free of charge) where you can go swimming. There is a snack-bar and well cared-for lawn where you can lie down and sunbath or play, with direct access to the lake.
Another nice possibility is in the neighbouring village of Lenno, right next to the hotel "San Giorgio". Boat rentals and waterski-schools can be found in the neigbourhood.
