La Collina degli Ulivi in Domaso-Vercana / westshore

Modern apartments with pool in a fantastic hillside location

"La Collina degli Ulivi" is in the hill village of Vercana, above the town of Domaso on the west shore. It is 3km from the lake. The building faces south, gets plenty of sun and has glorious views to the south and the surrounding mountains.

This is an absolute paradise for the holidaymaker set in a garden of fruit and olive trees. There are six apartments to choose from, “Leccino", "Maurino" and "Coratina" are three bedroom apartments. "Frantoio" and "Carolea" are two bedroom apartments and "Bosana" has one bedroom.


Relax by the communal solar-heated pool (12x8 m + children’s pool 2,5x5 m, open from Easter to end of October). Alternatively eat ‘al fresco’; there are two BBQ areas, sun loungers and sunshades. For the kids there is a playing area with a slide and swing, as well as of course, the pool. There is plenty of room for ball games and the whole complex is fully fenced in. The pool area and garden make up 500 square metres and is used too by guests from the neighbouring house "Giardino dei Frutti" There is a table tennis table and games room available for guests, from both properties, to use. The properties are surrounded by vineyards, meadows and other similar houses.

Out and about without a car

In Vercana, 200m away from the property, there is a small grocery store, bakery and a panorama restaurant with a wood burning pizza oven. Along the footpath to Domaso ( 1.4 km), which has beautiful views of the lake, are more restaurants. In Domaso’s centre you’ll find a fishing harbour, shops, bakeries and restaurants.

In Domaso is a boat stop with ferry and hydrofoil providing connections to the countless attractive and fascinating towns and villages stretched out along the shores of the lake.

From Vercana you have easy access to the local beaches and water sports providers. Vercana too is a great starting point for mountain bike tours or hikes, for hikers of all abilities.

The apartments have off-road parking.
  

The apartments are named after the types of olives that flourish in Como’s mild climate.
All apartments are bright and airy, have modern furnishings and fittings as well as terracotta tile floors.

Each apartment has its own entrance and outside area. All balconies and terraces are wide, furnished with garden tables and chairs are designed to provide a peaceful and private atmosphere.
The apartments have a well planned layout and almost all rooms have spectacular lake and mountain views.

The living rooms are equipped with SAT TV, sofas and dining tables and chairs. The kitchens are modern and each one has a dish washer.

In the cellar, there is a communal washing machine and laundry area, drying rack, ironing board and iron. There is also a storeroom for bikes and surfing equipment.

The central heating system make this property attractive for visits all year round. Small children need to be supervised at parts of the terrain.

"Bosana" exclusive / top floor (sleeps 4/ 50 square metres + balcony 19 square metres)
Bright living room with exposed beams, double sofa bed, to the side, a kitchen area. Double bedroom, facing hill. Spa bathroom, with washbasin, whirlpool bathtub and WC/bidet, large, un-overlooked veranda facing lake.

A Wlan Internet connection is available – please reserve at the time of booking. Payment for usage can be settled locally.

There is a storeroom for guests own bikes and sports equipment.

A boat mooring space and a surfdepot can eventually be organised (please request this facility early at the time of booking). If desired, a complete service can be organised including mooring, trailer space, as well as a slip/crane service for Euro 96,-- (incl. ital. Tax, for the organisation of the service provider, plus rental)

There are many possibilities to hire boats at the north of Lake Como. A wide range of boats is available for hire, from motorboats (between 5 – 180 horse power) with or without driver, as well as small sailing boats, yachts, rowing, paddle and fishing boats.

Towels are available for the guests use.

There is a communal washing machine available in a laundry room.

A cot/travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra cost (please reserve when booking and bring your own children’s bed linen and blankets with you).
