No longer Lake Como’s best kept secret, this quaint but wonderful restaurant, tucked away in the charming hamlet of Gittana just north of Varenna, celebrates home cooked Italian cuisine at its very best.
Run by Chef Moreno and his wife, Rossella, daily classes introduce the guests not only to the joys of rolling your own pasta (with an 81 year old rolling pin!) but also such culinary delights as Gnocchi with Gorgonzola Sauce, Tortellini di Carne and Patate alla Crema.
But it’s not just about the cooking: Moreno is a warm and generous host and has a wealth of humorous stories and philosophies to share.
The day includes lunch, copious quantities of wine, limoncello, pastries and coffee – all in all, a gastronomic experience never to forget!
